Hi, I'm Josh

I started drone photography because I genuinely enjoy capturing Sydney from above, and recently started helping local people do the same without the usual hassle. I fly a few times a week, and take my camera with me on all my overseas holidays; the rest of the time you'll find me running around a hospital learning medicine, teaching kids at the local public school about debating and public speaking, or tutoring for the HSC.

I focus on being approachable, reliable, and easy to work with. No middlemen, no account managers, no weird AI automated quote systems. Just an email to me directly.

If you're looking for a five-person production crew and top-of-the-line post-production, you're in the wrong place. If you're looking for one experienced, qualified, enthusiastic guy with drones and cameras at non-ripoff prices, you're in exactly the right place.

The Kit

DJI Mini 4K — sub-250g, ideal for fast local jobs and restricted airspace. 3-battery hub, propeller guards. 4K video, 12MP stills, J+RAW, AEB. The workhorse for inspections and real estate.

DJI Air 2S — for commercial work where quality is the brief. RC-N1 controller, 3-battery hub, 6 ND filters, landing pad. 5.4K video, 20MP stills, 1-inch sensor, D-Log M colour grading. Priced higher accordingly.

Canon EOS R50 — ground-level photo and video. Full lens kit (18-45mm kit lens, 10-18mm ultra-wide, 50mm f/1.8), RS3 Mini gimbal, shotgun mic, DJI Mic Mini 2 wireless for interviews and pieces to camera, 2x tripods. 4K video, 24.2MP stills.

Large commercial jobs also include traffic cones, hi-vis vest, walkie talkies, and portable power where needed.

If you're looking for a ground photographer experienced in parties, weddings, streetscapes, or objects — while I might not be the most experienced in those areas, I can connect you with the right specialist for every need. My trusted colleagues work across many creative fields, from social media content to large-scale drone operations, and we collaborate on larger jobs requiring more than one cameraperson across the Sydney region.
