What It Costs

The difference between working with me and a production company is directness — no account managers, no markup for overhead I don't carry. I work across local businesses (social content, promotional video), construction sites (progress documentation, multi-visit series), and real estate (interior and aerial photography, full walkthroughs) — often combining drone and ground coverage in the same booking rather than treating them as separate line items. Every quote reflects the actual job in front of me, not a standard day rate padded for someone else's margin.

Public liability insurance is optional and generally under $25-50. This will be clearly specified in your quote if I deem it necessary. All quotes include a copy of my CASA Commercial Accreditation, ARN, and insurance policy for your records.

Yes, my primary focus is on drone photography and videography, but I have also worked on many professional ground-level photo and video shoots, including for commercial media companies and developers. I am equipped with lenses, tripods, gimbals, wireless microphones, portable batteries, and all the other gear you'd expect of a semi-professional photo/videographer alongside my drone business.
Yes. I hold a CASA Commercial Accreditation and an ARN. I'll send you copies before any job, so you have them on file. I also have access to public liability insurance for a reasonable price - see pricing.
The DJI Mini 4K is sub-250g and well-suited for restricted areas including reduced ceilings of 300ft or lower. The DJI Air 2S is heavier and subject to standard CASA rules, so restricted airspace requests default to the Mini 4K unless otherwise discussed. I am not licenced to fly near airports, at night, or directly over crowds.
I'm based in Ryde and primarily fly around Ryde, Inner West, North Shore, and the Sydney CBD and Eastern Suburbs. Travel further out is possible. Just ask and I'll let you know if there's a small travel add-on.
We'll reschedule. I'll flag any weather concerns in the quote reply, and if conditions deteriorate on the day, we find another time. Rescheduling is free — reshooting isn't!
Yes. DJI Mini 4K for standard 4K aerial; DJI Air 2S for 5.4K, slow motion, and D-Log M. Canon EOS R50 with DJI RS3 Mini gimbal for ground-level — including vertical 9:16 for Reels and TikTok, horizontal B-roll, and interview-style pieces to camera with DJI Mic Mini 2 wireless audio. I deliver clean raw files as standard, or a fully edited cut if that's what the job calls for — colour graded, paced, and ready to publish. Just let me know what you need in the brief.
Yes. Outdoor fitness sessions, local markets, business launches, community gatherings, and promotional shoots are all well-suited to aerial coverage. The DJI Air 2S is the go-to for events given its video quality and stabilisation. I also carry the Canon EOS R50 for ground-level coverage in the same shoot. CASA rules mean I can't fly directly over crowds, but working around the edges often produces more interesting footage anyway.
For real estate, inspections, and fast aerial work: the DJI Mini 4K — sub-250g, works in restricted airspace, great quality. For commercial work needing higher specs: the DJI Air 2S — 1-inch sensor, 5.4K, 20MP, D-Log M, +$30–60 on base. For ground-level photo and video — interviews, B-roll, social media content, walkthroughs: the Canon EOS R50 with gimbal, wireless mic, and lens kit. Not sure which? I'm set up for vertical 9:16 content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Stories — pieces to camera with DJI Mic Mini 2 wireless microphone, workshop and event B-roll on the DJI RS3 Mini gimbal, hero product or car sequences, and ground-level stills. I can work from a brief provided by your social media agency or independently. Raw files are available, or I can handle the full edit in-house — colour grading, pacing, and a publish-ready final cut. Many jobs now go through me end-to-end rather than out to a separate editor.
